THE BEGINNING
S.E. Briggs is started by S.E. Briggs and based out of his garage in Newport Beach, CA.

Gaining Momentum
Bob Briggs joined his father, S.E., in business, and the company name was changed to S.E. Briggs & Son, Inc.
1960

BRIGGS ELECTRIC, INC.
Tom Perry and Bob Briggs form Briggs Electric, Inc. Each owning 50% of the company, which purchases the assets of S.E Briggs & Son, Inc.

TOM PERRY BECOMES PRESIDENT/CEO
Tom Perry becomes President/CEO of Briggs Electric, and Bob Briggs assumes role as Chairman of the Board.

JEFF JOINS THE TEAM
Jeff Perry joins the team in the estimating department.

OWNERSHIP AND TODD JOINS THE TEAM
Bob Briggs retires and Tom Perry becomes 100% owner of Briggs. Todd Perry joins Briggs in the accounting department.

BEGINNING OF EXPANSION
Briggs Electric begins operations in Carson City NV with Greg Dye leading operations.

The Nevada Division outgrows its small office in Carson City and moves to a new building.

INTRODUCTION OF BRIGGS DATACOM
Briggs Electric joined forces with Advanced Network Consulting (ANC), and Briggs Datacom was established.

EXPANDING IN CALIFORNIA
Briggs Electric completes construction and relocates to a new 20,000 sq ft. facility in Tustin, CA.

Nevada Division moves into their new 20,000 sq ft. building in Carson City, NV.

Leadership Shifts
Jeff Perry is named President, Randy Perry as Vice President, Todd Perry as CFO, and Tom Perry as Chairman.

Tom Perry passed
In late 2012, Tom Perry passed away. His two sons, Jeff and Todd Perry, become the owners of Briggs Electric. Each obtain 50% interest in the company.

HIRED COO AND ROLLOUT OF ONE BRIGGS INITIATIVE
Michael Porges becomes Chief Operating Officer of Briggs Electric, and Briggs rolls out “One Briggs to 100 Years” initiative, ensuring strength, shared experiences, and camaraderie throughout the company.

Briggs establishes a Board of Directors made up of internal and external experts, as well as established two new company-wide leadership positions: Adam Johnson as VP of Operations, and Scott Davis as VP of Estimating.
